Terms of service
Last updated: [date placeholder]
The service
MotoID, operated by MotoID (placeholder — replace with the operating entity), gives each motorcycle a digital identity and a history of mileage, maintenance, expenses, modifications, documents and photos, which its owner can keep private, share by link or publish. By creating an account you agree to these terms.
Your account
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for all activity on your account.
- You must be legally able to enter into these terms in your country.
Accuracy of records
You are responsible for the records you add. MotoID does not verify them, does not inspect motorcycles and does not guarantee that any history is complete or accurate. A “verified history” means a history whose entries are time-stamped and attributed to an owner, not a history checked by MotoID. You must hold the rights to any document or photo you upload.
Ownership transfer
A MotoID ownership transfer is a record of a transfer between two MotoID accounts. It is not a legal transfer of title, a registration change or a sales contract, and it does not replace the formalities required by law in your country. Private documents stay with the previous owner.
Acceptable use
- Do not record motorcycles you do not own or are not authorised to manage.
- Do not enter false records, impersonate others or attempt to access data that is not shared with you.
- Do not upload unlawful content, scrape the service or interfere with its operation.
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these rules.
Availability and liability
The service is provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that data will never be lost; keep your own copies of important documents. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to [liability cap placeholder], and we are not liable for decisions made, such as buying or selling a motorcycle, on the basis of records in MotoID.
Ending the service
You can delete your account at any time. We may end or change the service with reasonable notice; where possible we will give you the opportunity to export your data first.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will note the date at the top. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms; for significant changes we will tell you in the app or by email.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction placeholder], and disputes are subject to the courts of [venue placeholder], without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
