Who we are
This policy explains what MotoID (placeholder — replace with the operating entity) stores when you use MotoID, who can see it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we store
- Your account: the email address and display name you sign up with, and the technical data needed to keep you signed in.
- Your motorcycles: make, model, year and similar details, plus the identity data you enter. The VIN and registration number are stored as private fields: they are never shown publicly, except for the last four characters of the VIN if you choose to share them.
- Your records: mileage readings, maintenance, expenses, modifications, documents and photos you add, including invoices you attach.
- Analytics events: product events such as “record added” or “public profile viewed”. They never contain your VIN, registration number or the content of your documents.
Who can see what
- Private: everything is private by default and visible only to you.
- Follows the motorcycle: when you transfer ownership, the motorcycle’s MotoID and the history recorded against it move to the new owner. Records from previous owners stay attached to the motorcycle and can no longer be edited.
- Never transferred: documents you mark as private, and your identity, never move to a new owner. Previous owners’ private documents are never visible to you either.
- Public: if you make a MotoID unlisted or public, anyone with the link (or anyone, for public profiles) can see only what you chose to share in its settings. The full VIN, registration number, your identity and private documents are never shown publicly.
Hosting and processors
Your data is hosted on Supabase (database, authentication and file storage) in the [region placeholder] region. Product analytics, when enabled, are processed by [analytics provider placeholder]. These providers act on our instructions and do not use your data for their own purposes.
Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Deleting a motorcycle removes it and its complete history. Deleting your account removes your account data and private documents; history already transferred to another owner stays with that motorcycle. Backups are retained for [backup window placeholder] before they are overwritten.
Your rights
- Access and export: you can view all of your data in the app and request a full export by contacting us.
- Correction: you can edit your records at any time, except records made by previous owners.
- Deletion: you can delete motorcycles and documents in the app and request deletion of your account.
